Terry W. Simons

DAVENPORT — Terry W. Simons, 44, of Davenport and formerly of Maquoketa, died Saturday at his home.

There will be a celebration of his life at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa, with the Rev. Ruth Ann Scott officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa.

He was born June 2, 1961, in Maquoketa to William K. and Alene L. Templeton Simons. He married Kim Busch on Aug. 26, 2004, in Davenport.

He was educated in Maquoketa schools.

He was an installer with Dan’s Overhead Doors and More Inc., Davenport. Prior to that, he worked with Van Pelt’s Dry Wall, Bettendorf, for six years.

He was a member of Duck’s Unlimited.

Survivors include his wife; children, Brandon (Brooke) Busch of Davenport, Mrs. Lea (Eric) Thomas of Davenport and Amber Simons of Tennessee; his mother, Alene Simons of DeWitt; two grandchildren; sisters, Nina (Roy) Yeung of Miramar, Fla., Mrs. Debra (Dean) Tillis of Stockton, Ill., and Teresa Simons of Delmar; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, one brother and one grandchild.

A Terry W. Simons Memorial Fund has been established.
