CARROLLTON, Texas — Nancy J. Rosenow, 68, of The Colony, Texas, and formerly of Marshalltown, died Nov. 15 at The Autumn Leaves of Carrollton, Carrollton, Texas.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, Ill. The Rev. Heju Cha, associate pastor of Morrison United Methodist Church, will be officiating. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery. Memorial services also were Nov. 19 at First United Methodist Church, The Colony.
She was born January 20, 1937, in Clinton to Stanley and Ilo Dorsey. She married David K. Rosenow on Nov. 6, 1955.
She graduated from Clinton High School.
She and her husband moved to Marshalltown in 1958 where she was active in the Girl Scouts, Sweet Adeline’s and was president of the United Methodist Women. She and her family moved to The Colony in 1977.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, The Colony. She was active with Christian Community Action of Lewisville and its resale shop. She also was named volunteer of the year. She also was a member of The Colony Gourmet Club and the Lone Star T’s.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Jacqueline Rosenow of Des Moines, Mrs. Cheryl (Doug) Loffgren of Albion and Mrs. Lorraine (Jeff) Simmons of The Colony; three grandchildren; two sisters, Diane Tarner of Dixon, Ill., and Jill Tjalas of Clinton; and two brothers, Allen Dorsey of Clinton and Phillip Dorsey of Morrison.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Christian Community Action, Lewisville, Texas.
