The Clinton Herald Thursday December 20, 1951 p. 21 Mrs. Andrew H. Buell, 56, died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Whiting, 2353 North Eleventh street, at 12:35 p.m. Wednesday. The body is in the Pape funeral home where friends may call after 7 this evening. A prayer service will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, to be followed by services in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church with Rev. Paul Burgdorf officiating. Mrs. Buell was born in Goose Lake, August 25, 1895, the daughter of Peter and Christina Hoop. She was married to Andrew H. Buell, Jan. 28, 1920 in Clinton. She was a member of St. John's church, the Ladies Aid of that church and the American Legion auxiliary. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Leona) Whiting of Clinton, one son, Ralph, Ft. Sheridan, Ill., four grandchildren; four brothers, Hans Hoop of Maquoketa, Henry of Clinton, John of Gilman, and Herbert of Marshalltown; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Hagge of Everest, Kan., and Mrs. Aganna Ankrum of Marshalltown, several nices and nephews. Preceding her in death werre her parents, four sisters and one brother.
