The Clinton Herald June 18, 1970 p. 8 The funeral service for Andrew H. Buell, 77, 2317 N. 7th St., who died Wednesday in Mercy Hospital, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Eugene Raul officiating. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. Friends may call at the Pape funeral home after 7 p.m. today. Pallbearers will be William Jensen, Edward Jensen, Delbert Thomson, Dale Buell, Karl Bromann and Robert Hammer. Mr. Buell was born March 15, 1893, in Clinton, the son of Jacob and Catherine Buell. He married Hilda R. Hoop, Jan. 28, 1920, in Clinton. He was a member and former treasurer of St. John's Lutheran Church, former treasurer of Radio Mission League for many years, a veteran of World War I, a member of American Legion Post No. 190 and the VFW. He was a retired boiler operator at Clinton Corn Processing Co. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Leona) Whiting of Clinton; one son, Ralph Buell serving in Vietnam; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Todtz of Clinton and Mrs. Christine Hayes of Palestine, Ill.; one brother, William Buell of Clinton and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother and one sister.
