The Clinton Herald Monday April 7, 1930 p. 5 Mrs Claus Joens died at her home, 1107 Pershing boulevard, at 1:20 o'clock this morning following a brief illness. No funeral arrangements have been made pending the arrival of relatives. Margaret Christina Grimm was born October 12, 1850, at Holstein, Germany, and came to Greenwich, Conn., in 1868. She was married to Claus Joens in Williamsburg, N.Y., in 1874 and they moved to Clinton in November of 1879. The deceased is survived by her husband, two sons, Clause F. and Charles H., of Omaha, Nebr., and a daughter, Miss Bertha, at home; three grandchildren, Margaret Joens of Rochester, N.Y.; Dorothy and Carl, of Omaha, Nebr.; two sister, Mrs. Herman Schroeder, of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Mrs. Henry Schroeder, of Clinton; three brothers, Charles Grimm, of Collins, Wash.; Martin Grimm, of Davenport, and Hans Grimm of Clinton. Mrs. Joens was a member of St. John's guild and an active member of St. John's Episcopal church. She had been in poor health for some time.
