The Clinton Herald Thursday July 5, 1962 p. 25 Miss Bertha M. Joens , 80, of 1107 Pershing Blvd., died Wednesday evening in the Clinton Nursing Home. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in St. John's Episcopal Church with Fr. M. Lucas officiating. Burial will be Oakland cemetery. Friends may call at the Snell-Smith funeral home after 3:30 p.m. Friday. Miss Joens was born Oct. 15, 1881 in Clinton, the daughter of Claus and Margaret Grimm Joens. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, and a former employee of the Amdersen Furniture Co., and the Burpee Seed Co. She is survived by one brother, Charles H., of Omaha, Neb.; two nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
