The Clinton Herald Wednesday November 12, 1975 p. 16 Hans Bott, 88, formerly of 1417 N. 3rd St., died Tuesday at The Alverno. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Pape Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley R. Petersen of Zion Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Elmer Schoel, George, John and Peter Bott, Edward Claussen and Donal Dierks. He was born March 29, 1887, in Hampshire Township, the son of Peter and Anna Joens Bott. He married Bertha Dierks Dec. 17, 1913, in Lyons. He retired from farming in 1941, and was a member of the German Society. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Maxine) Evers, Route 2, Clinton; two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1964, three brothers, and two sisters.
