The Clinton Herald Thursday December 12, 1991 p. 16 The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Faith Lutheran Church, Andover, for Elmer P. Schoel, 85, of 2512 N. 3rd St., who died Tuesday in Clinton Retirement Village. The Rev. John Meyer will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today in Cannon Funeral Home, and from 12:30 p.m. until the service hour Friday at the church. A 7 p.m. Masonic service will be conducted by Lyons Lodge No. 93 A.F. & A.M. today in the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dave Schoel, Raymond Eggers, Jerry Dake, Ralph Joens, Raphael and Norbert Krogman. Mr. Schoel was born July 18, 1906, in Andover, to Julius and Katerina Joens Schoel. He married Leona A. Bott, Feb. 7, 1934, in Clinton. She died March 15, 1990. He was educated in the Clinton County schools and farmed until 1965 in the rural Clinton area. In 1965, he moved to Clinton, where he was associated with WA Sewel & Company, retiring in 1971. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Lyons Masonic Lodge, Clinton County Farm Bureau and Andover Senior Citizens. He enjoyed playing cards and doing carpentry work. Survivors include a son, Wayne of rural Clinton; five grandchildrenn; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a twiin brother, Alvin; two infant brothers and a grandson. Death date: Dec. 10, 1991.
