The Clinton Herald Thursday March 15, 1990 p. 14 Mrs. Elmer P. (Leona A.) Schoel, 81, of 2512 N. 3rd St., died today in Samaritan North. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Faith Lutheran Church, Andover, with the Rev. Robert A. Hamel officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday in Cannon Funeral Home, and from noon until the service hour Saturday in the church. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. Mrs. Schoel was born June 3, 1908, in Andover, to John and Alvina Andersen Bott. She married Elmer P. Schoel, Feb. 7, 1934, in Clinton. She attended the Clinton County elementary schools and farmed with her husband her entire married life on the family farm, where she was born. In 1965, the couple retired and moved to Clinton. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and Women of Faith Lutheran. She was a member of the Hampshire Township Homemakers Club, Andover Senior Citizens and was a member and played cards in numerous card clubs. Survivors include her husband; a son, Wayne of Route 2, Clinton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson.
