The Clinton Herald 20 July 1983 p. 16 Alvin J. Bott, 78, of 1438 Rosehill Ave., Camanche, died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church in Clinton with the visitation pastor, Dr. F.E. Schoenbolm officiating. Visitation will be in the Clinton Chapel of the Snell-Zornig Funeral Home from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers are Larry McElroy, Kevin Schroeder, Darrell Bott, Dale Bott, Wayne Schoel and Ricky Kuehl. Bott was born Dec. 20, 1904, in Clinton the son of George and Laura Andersen Bott. He married Maleta Schroeder June 25, 1943. In 1969 he retired from farming in the Andover area. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, the Loyal Order of the Moose 363 and the Clinton Isaak Walton League. Survivors include his wife; two daughers, Mrs. Sharron Schutte of Camanche, and Mrs. Jeff (Linda) Goodsman of Clinton; a son Kenneth A. Bott of Clinton; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Peter, Elmer and George, all of the Clinton area.
