The Clinton Herald Thursday May 11, 1995 p. 11 The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church for Marilyn M. Bott, 57, of 3828 N. 3rd St., who died Wednesday at Samaritan North, of natural couses. The Rev. Brian Hagglund will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Cannon Funeral Home, and from 9:30 a.m. until the service hour Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Jurgensen, Jim Perryman, Jeff Thoms, Glen Soenksen, Raphael Krogman ad Dwight Royer. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Krambeck, Roland Kroymann and Ray Studeman. Mrs. Bott was born Aug. 6, 1937, in Clinton, to Lester B. and Esther J.C. Soenksen Smith. She married Dale E. Bott, April 26, 1958, in Marion, Iowa. She was a 1955 graduate of Clinton High School, attended Augustanna College in Rock Island for a year, and was a 1957 graduate of Mount St. Clare College, with an associate degree in elementary education. She taught at Elwood Community Schools, and, for 37 years was secretary/treasurer of Bott Trucking Inc. She had been confirmed and was a member of the Lutheran faith. She also was a member of teh Evantide Ladies Guild of Clinton, Hallmark Memory Makers of Davenport, Iowa Herford Association and the Clinton County Cattlewomen. She was a member and past president of Lyons Civic Club, and a leader of the Spring Valley 4-H Club. Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Harlan (Dr. Patricia) Holm of Oregon, Ill., Mrs. Joseph (Dalene) Bott-Kitslaar of Rochester, Minn., Annette Bott and Mrs. Terry (Colene) O'Neill, both of Davenport, and Leslie Bott of Clinton; seven grandchildren; a foster brother, Mike Darrow of Clinton; and an uncle, a nephew and several cousins. She was prededed in death by her parents. Death date: May 10, 1995.
