The Clinton Herald Elsie Bott, 100, of the Bickford Cottage, formerly the Sterling House, Clinton, died Saturday at the Bickford Cottage. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Lemke Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Michaelsen officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Lemke Funeral Home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John McElroy, Larry McElroy, Brent Carstensen, Aric Ohsann, Adam Ohsann and Ronald Thompson. There will also be honorary pallbearers. She was born July 14, 1901, in Teeds Grove to Claus and Lizzie Huebner Roch. On Nov. 21, 1923, she married Peter H. Bott, in Clinton. He died in 1989. She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband in Clinton County. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, a former member of the Odeon Club and Moose Club. Survivors inlcude a daughter, Arlene McElroy of Camanche; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and three sisters. Death date: Sept. 8, 2001.
