The Clinton Herald October 10, 1989 p. 12 The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton, for Peter H. Bott, 88, 143 6th Ave. S., who died Monday in Samaritan North. The Rev. Stanley Peterson will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today in Cannon Funeral Home, and from 9:30 a.m. until the service hour Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe and Brent Carstensen, Larry and John McElroy, Phil Ohsann and Dale Bott. Mr. Bott was born Nov. 2, 1900, in Clinton County, to George and Laura Andersen Bott. He married Elsie Roeh, Nov. 21, 1923, in Clinton. He attended the Clinton County schools, Brown Business College, Clinton, and the Davenport Barber College. He was employed as a barber for several years, and later farmed in the area, retiring in 1970. He moved to Clinton in 1986. Mr. Bott was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He was a former member of the Odeon Club, the Clinton Moose Lodge and the Farm Bureau. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Arlene McElroy, of Clinton; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
