The Clinton Herald Saturday November 9, 1957 p. 8 Mrs. George H. Bott, Sr., 86, 3019 Cleveland St., Clinton, died at 2:30 p.m. Friday in her home where she had been ill since last June 12. The body reposes in the Shadduck funeral home where friends may begin calling this evening. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home, Monday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. M.S. Bredow of the Zion Lutheran church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Laura Anderson was born near Bryant, Feb. 13, 1871, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Casper Anderson, and spent her early life in the Bryant area. She was married to George Bott, Jan. 31, 1900, in Clinton, after which he farmed in Hampshire township until 1939. He than moved to the six-mile house community where he lived four years. He moved to Clinton where he has since made his home. Surviving is her husband, four sons, Peter, Elmer, Alvin, George Jr., all living near Clinton, six grandchildren, one brother Adolph Anderson, Clinton, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother Henry Anderson, and three sisters, Mrs. Henry Voss, Mrs. Herman Dierks, and Mrs. John Bott.
