The Clinton Herald Monday January 26, 1987 p. 12 Peter A. Dierks, 86, of Preston, died Sunday at Wyndcrest Nursing Home, Clinton. The funeral will be 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Ron Drury officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Miller Funeral Home. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Darrell, Wayne and Gilbert Bott, Donal Dierks, Hobart Sander and Eugene Lampe. Mr. Dierks was born Nov. 2, 1900, near Clinton, to Peter and Christina Henricksen Dierks. He married Lucinda Bott, Sept. 5, 1928. They farmed near Preston until retiring in 1974, when they moved to Preston. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Harris (Phyllis) Bratthauer, of Bryant; a son Lester, of rural Preston; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, six sisters and three brothers.
