The Clinton Herald Lucinda A. Dierks, 98, of Preston, died Saturday at home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Preston. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery, Goose Lake. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Miller-Law-Jojnes Funeral Home, Preston. She was born Nov. 19, 1903, in Bryant to Peter and Anna Kruse Bott. She married Peter A. Dierks Sept. 5, 1928, in Lyons. He died Jan. 25, 1987. She was a homemaker most of her life. She also worked with her husband farming. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Preston, and the Ruth Circle. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis (Harris) Bratthauer of Bryant; a son, Lester Dierks of Preston; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Viola Stolk of Clinton; and two brothers, John Bott of Clinton and Virtus Bott of Bryant. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son in infancy and a brother. Death date: Dec. 29, 2001.

Lucinda Bott was born Nov. 19, 1903, in Bryant. She married Peter A. Dierks in 1928 in Lyons. He died in 1987. Lucinda was a homemaker most of her life. She also farmed with her husband. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Bratthauer, Bryant; a son, Lester Dierks, Preston; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Viola Stolk, Clinton; and brothers, John Bott, Clinton, and Virtus Bott, Bryant.
