The Clinton Herald Tuesday December 15, 1970 p. 10 Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Miller funeral home, Preston, for Mrs. Anna Bott, 90, of Route 3, formerly of Preston, who died Monday at Mercy Hospital. The Rev. G.D.A. Engelhardt will officiate. Visitation begins after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Gilbert Bott, Darrell Bott, Wayne Bott, Leon Bott, Lester Dierks and Lloyd Kroeger. Burial will be in Center Grove cemetery. Mrs. Bott was born June 27, 1880 in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, the daughter of Max and Hannah Kruse. She came to the United States in 1895. In 1900, she married Peter Bott. The couple farmed in the Bryant area until her husband's death in 1937 and since that time she had resided with her children. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Preston. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Lucinda) Dierks of Preston and Mrs. Theodore (Viola) Stolk of Clinton; two sons, John of rural Clinton and Virtus of Bryant; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her husband, one son, three brothers and two sisters.
