The Clinton Herald Wednesday March 24, 1926 p. 8 Peter Bott, a well known and highly respected resident of Andover, passed away this morning at 8:10 o'clock, following several months' illness. No funeral plans have been announced. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Peter Bott, Jr., George Bott, John Bott and Hans Bott, of Andover; two daughters, Mrs. Herman Schoel and Mrs. Emil Schwartz residing near Andover, and one brother, Hans Bott, of Andover.

The Clinton Advertiser Friday March 26, 1926 The funeral of the late Peter Bott, Sr., will be held from the home near Andover on Saturday afternoon at two o'clock. The Rev. Sandrock of Preston will have charge of the services. Burial will be made in Andover (Dierks) cemetery. Mr. Bott is survived by his wife, four daughters, two sons, one brother, thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The deceased was born in Germany and was 83 years old. He came to America in 1865. Mr. Bott was very well known and highly respected by a large number of people in the vicinity. His wife is in failing health at the present time, which increases the sympathy shown to the family at the death of Mr. Bott.
