The Clinton Herald Thursday October 3, 1991 p. 18 Alvin H. Frahm, 95, of Miles died Tuesday at Samaritan North. The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Miles Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Josephine Green officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Miles Cemetery where the American flag will be presented by the Miles American Legion. Pallbearers will be Gary and Michael Frahm, Mark and Kent Stickler, John Wilson, Brent Rittmer, Monte Cook and Tom Robinson. Mr. Frahm was born May 4, 1896 near Miles to John and Amelia Struve Frahm. He married Lillian D. Hansen Feb. 23, 1926. She died March 8, 1984. He retired in 1961 from farming. He was a director of Miles Saving Bank for 41 years, 28 years as president and two years as honorary chairman. He was a member of Miles Presbyterian Church and an honorary member of Miles American Legion. He continued to be active in farming. He was a veteran of World War I serving in the United States Army in France. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Stuart (Jeanette) Wilson of Miles and MRs. Fred (Dorothy) Stickler of Moline; a son, Robert of Miles; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and thre sister, one in infancy. Death date: Oct. 1, 1991.
