The Clinton Herald April 4, 1979 p. 7 Clarence J. Struve, 71, of 2910 Roosevelt St., died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Pape Funeral Home with the Rev. Loren A. Smith of Community Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today. Pallbearers will be James and Roger Struve, Marion Judge, Ray Brown, Harold Ryder and Joseph Cotter. He was born June 30, 1907, in Clinton, to John and Anna Nielsen Struve. He married Edith Johnson May 21, 1930, in Clinton. He was a member of Community Congregational Church, a partner in Model Roller Mills for many years, and a city assessor from 1960-70. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Janice) Wede of Goose Lake; a son, John G. of Goose Lake; four grandchildren; two brothers, Hans of Clinton and Elmer of Turlock, Calif.; and a sister, Olive of Clinton. He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
