The Clinton Herald Monday March 6, 1978 p. 16 Mrs. H.N. (Bessie) Struve, 79, of 1726 Pershing Blvd., died Sunday in Mercy Hospital. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Pape Funeral Home with the Rev. Lauren Ashley Smith of Community Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Jack Hauschildt, Paul Eastland, Carroll Johnson, Gene Veit, Leo Studemann and Kai Hansen. Mrs. Struve was born March 31, 1898, in Miles, the daugher of Hans and Jennie Watson Nielsen. She married H.N. Struve Nov. 15, 1919, in Lyons. She was a member of Community Congregational Church, Lyons Chapter 130 OES and charter member and former secretary of the Board of Trustees of Sarah Harding Home. Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Daniel P. (Jean) Willis, Jr., of Bethesda, Md., Mrs. D.E. (Maurine) Forest of Tipton and Mrs. William C. (Joan) Harris of Franklin, Va.; a brother, Dr. Lynn H. Nielsen of Salinas, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers.
