The Clinton Herald Thursday March 10, 1983 p. 16 Hans N. Struve, 91, of Sarah Harding Home, died Wednesday in St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Pape Funeral Home, with Rev. E. Leon Willhite of Community Congregational Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Rose Croix services will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, conducted by Carl Rydstrand. Pallbearers will be Alex Adler, Arthur Hoogheem, Paul Eastland, Melvin Kramer and Lyle and Clarence Pelham. Mr. Struve was born May 22, 1891, in Lyons, to John and Anna Nielsen Strvue. He married Bessie M. Nielsen on Nov. 15, 1919, in Lyons. He was an owner and operator of Model Roller Mills on Main Avenue for many years. He retired in 1952. He was a veteran of World War I with service in France. He was a member of Community Congregational Church, Lyons Lodge A.F. & A.M. 93, and Lyons chapter of Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Jean Willis of Bethesda, Md., Mrs. Maurine Forest of Tipton, Iowa, and Mrs. Joan Harris of Franklin, Va.; a sister, Alice Struve of Clinton; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers and three sisters.
