The Clinton Herald Monday January 4, 1988 p. 10 Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church, Andover. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Mr. Struve died Friday at Mercy Hospital. He owned and operated Elk River Mill, Hauntown. He married Alta Eggers in 1926 in Clinton. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Pape Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time Tuesday at the church. He was a member of Elk River Township school board and served as president of Sabula Community school board from 1961-64. He wa a member of Elk River Volunteer Fire Department and was its chief for several years. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Helen (Mrs. Joe) Cotton, Clinton; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Faith Lutheran Church, Andover, for Leslie M. Struve, 81, of Route 3, Hauntown, who died Friday in Mercy Hospital. The Rev. Robert Hamel will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Pape Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour in the church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward Baasch, George, Jack and Roy Jr. Struve, George Eggers and Dan Smith. Mr. Struve was born Sept. 22, 1906, in Hauntown, to William and Dora Meyers Struve. He married Alta Eggers, Nov. 24, 1926, in Clinton. He owned and operated the Elk River Mill in Hauntown, served on the Elk River Township shcool board and later on the Sabula Community School Board, serving as president from 1961 until 1964. He was a member of the Elk River volunteer fire department, serving as fire chief for several years. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Helen) Cotton, of Route 3; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
