The Clinton Herald Wednesday April 2, 1975 p. 14 Mrs. Lyal (Leota) Struve, 79, of Almont, died Tuesday while in Preston. The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Pape Funeral Home, the Rev. Eilert Nelsen officiating. Burial will be in Andover Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday. Pallbearers, all grandsons, will be Gary McDonald, James Johnson, Daniel Johnson, William McLarnan, Donald Naeve and Thomas Struve. Mrs. Struve, the former Leota Petersen, daughter of John and Augusta Roeh Petersen, was born July 15, 1895, near Andover. She married Lyal Struve Oct. 11, 1921, in Clinton. She is survived by her husband, three sons, John and Robert of Clinton and David of rural Clinton; three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Jeanne) Johnson of Andover, Mrs. Charles (June) McDonald of Bryant, and Rhea Struve, Ocala, Fla.; 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Strvue was preceded in death by two sons and one brother.
