The Clinton Herald Friday October 29, 1976 p. 12 The funeral for Lyal E. (Hap) Struve, 76, Route 3, who died Thursday, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Pape Funeral Home. The Rev. Peter Anderson of Zion Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be at the Andover Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kermit Thompon, Roger Struve, Frank McClintock, Wayne Henricksen, Dennis Lawrence and Leroy Eggers. He was born April 14, 1900, at Almont, the son of William and Dora Meyers Struve. He was married Oct. 11, 1920, to Leota Petersen. She preceded him in death in 1975. He was a lifelong resident of the Hauntown and Almont area, where he operated a garage and will drilling business. He retired in 1966. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. David (Rhea) Aton, Lakeland, Fla., Mrs. Donald (Jeanne) Johnson, Andover, Mrs. Charles (June) McDonald, Bryant; three sons, John M. (Jack) of Clinton, Robert L., Clinton, and David R. of Almont; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one brother, Leslie of Hauntown. He was preceded in death by his wife, two sons, four brothers and two sisters.
