The Clinton Herald Friday February 14, 1975 p. 12 Roy A. Struve, 79, 1514 N. 3rd St., was dead on arrival at Mercy Hospital Thursday night. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Pape Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Henry of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be after 7 p.m. Saturday and all day Sunday. Pallbearers, all nephews, will be herman Aude Jr., Joseph Cotton, Thomas Cotton, William Miller, John Struve and Roger Struve. Mr. Struve was born Dec. 6, 1895, in Hauntown, the son of William and Ella Mae Myers Struve. He married Marie Madsen in 1924 in Clinton. He was employed by the Chicago, North Western Railroad, retiring in 1962; a veteran of World War I and member of American Legion Post No. 190 and Sheet and Metal Workers Union. Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Waldorf of Clinton; one son, Roy J., of Clinton; two granddaughters and two brothers, Lyal of Almont and Leslie of Hauntown. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
