DES MOINES — Dawn Kay Steeg Froman, 53, of Des Moines and formerly of Clinton, died Thursday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital, Des Moines.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Clinton. Cremation will follow the service. Burial of the cremains will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

She was born Jan. 9, 1952, in Sioux City to Milton and Violet Merrill Steeg. She married J. Clifton Froman on July 2, 1977, in Clinton.

She was a 1970 graduate of Clinton High School.

She worked with T.L. Grantham in Des Moines for many years. She also worked as a social worker for a handicap development center in Giddings, Texas, and at Reynolds Restaurant in Clinton as a waitress.

She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Krystal Froman of Des Moines; one son, Jacob Froman of Des Moines; two grandchildren, her parents, Milton and Violet Steeg of Clinton; one sister, Maureen (Randy Annear) Steeg of Clinton; and two brothers, David Steeg of Clinton and Gerald (Elsie) Steeg of Fulton, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the Steeg family.

She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
