Megan Ellen Hellrung

Megan Ellen Hellrung age 5 months was born May 27, 2005 in Iowa City, IA and died Thursday, November 17, 2005 at Children’s Hospital and Clinics in Minneapolis, MN. In Megan’s short life she taught her loving parents Daniel and Jennifer Hellrung more than a lifetime could. Her smile was contagious and her giggles filled the air with joy. Beating the odds by surviving heart surgery at one month old, she amazed us all with her spirit to live. She was an inspiration to us all and reminded us that life is about being with the ones you love.

She is survived by her parents and grandparents Jim and Carol Hellrung of Des Moines, IA, Phil and Gina Heldt of Fulton, IL., greatgrandma Ellen Heldt of Clinton IA and Dorothy Hellrung of Milwaukee, Wi and great-grandparents Arnold and Delores Ebben of Irma, Wi. She is also survived by many aunts and uncles; Jackie Hellrung-Marburg, Jimmy and Stephanie Hellrung, Jody and Jason Tenboer, Angel and John Barker, Katie and Matt Tiesman, Nikki and Pete Karanec, and cousins Kia Barker, Ashley Hellrung, Andrew Marburg, and Michael Sheets. And many other extended family.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 18th from 4-7pm with a Memorial Service at 7pm at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave, St. Paul, 651.228.1006. All are welcome. Megan will be buried at Clinton Lawn Cemetery in Clinton, Iowa on Sunday, November 20 at 10am.
