Calvin Reed Lafferty
PRINCETON, Iowa — Calvin Reed Lafferty, 78, of Princeton and formerly of DeWitt, died Thursday at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Monday at Nelson Funeral Home, DeWitt., with the Rev. Larry Pruitt of God’s Family Baptist Church, Grand Mound, officiating. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He was born Aug. 8, 1927, in Ava, Mo., to George and Stella Pruitt Lafferty. He married Dorothy Williams on July 3, 1948, in Ava.
He was a supervisor at the Donohoo Steel Heat Treating Plant in Bettendorf for 33 years until his retirement in 1987.
Survivors include his wife; five children, Margaret (Marion) Pinter of Princeton, Joyce (Stephen) Pinter of Bettendorf, Linda (Dennis) Maynard of Princeton, Ronald (Rhonda) Lafferty of Black River Falls, Wis., and Michael Lafferty of Florida; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Wilma Jean (Kinny) Kesterson of Springfield, Mo., and Oatie Muse of Nixa, Mo.; and a sister-in-law, Lucille Lafferty of Springfield.
