CLINTON — Carrie Annie Root, 93, of Clinton, died Sunday Nov. 6, 2005 at Wyndcrest Nursing Home, Clinton.

Funeral services will be at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service time Wednesday. Burial will be in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 20, 1911, in Goose Lake to Henry and Minnie Kammerer Lehne. She married Clarence Mike Root on Aug. 31, 1942, in St. Louis; he died in 1972.

She was a member of the Women of the Moose.

She was a homemaker. She also was employed with Burpee Seed Co. for 27 years before retiring in 1973.

Survivors include one sister-in-law, Joan Lehne of Clinton; and nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Wyndcrest Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers and two sisters.
