MORRISON, Ill. — Mary E. Anneberg, 97, of Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison, died Wednesday Nov. 2, 2005, at the nursing home.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Morrison, with the Rev. Cheryl Lunday, interim pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Morrison, officiating. There will be no visitation. The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Cremation rites have been accorded. Interment will be in the Carroll City Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 18, 1908, in St. Edward, Neb., to William H. and Frances Silsby Parker. She married Dr. A. Reas Anneberg on March 24, 1932, in Carroll. He died in 1990.

She graduated from Parsons College with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences.

Following her marriage, she lived in Carroll before moving to Morrison in 1977. She was a teacher and social worker prior to her retirement.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Morrison, the church choir and United Presbyterian Women. She was a member of P.E.O.

Survivors include two daughters, Martha Anneberg of Sterling, Ill., and Mrs. Bertha (Larry) Eliasen of Morrison; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, two sisters and one brother.
