MAQUOKETA — Norbert K. Daniels, 67, of Maquoketa, died Wednesday Nov. 2, 2005, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Private graveside services and burial will be Saturday at Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa. There will be no public visitation. The Lahey Funeral and Cremation Services in Maquoketa is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Feb. 17, 1938, in Green Island to Leslie and Mavis Baker Daniels. He married Emilie Miller on Dec. 16, 1960, in Maquoketa.

He was a maintenance worker and a foreman with Chicago Milwaukee and St. Paul Pacific rail roads before retiring in 1980. He also farmed for many years.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Angela Milder, Mrs. Noreen (Jeremy) Lafrenz and Danielle “Buffy” (David) Weinshenk, all of Maquoketa; and two grandchildren.
