Dorothy I. Anderson, 88, of Clinton, died Thursday at the Big Meadows Nursing Home in Savanna, Ill.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.

She was born March 17, 1917, in Clinton to Harry and Mathilda Lytle Stauffer. She married Wayne Anderson in Iowa City. He died in 1998.

She was a homemaker and had worked for Swift and Co. and the Sarah Harding Home in Clinton.

She was a former member of Riverside Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include three sons, Robert (Virginia) Anderson of Rock Island, Ill., Wayne “Vic” Anderson of Clinton and Donald Anderson of Bonne Terre, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, David Stauffer of Clinton and Raymond Stauffer of Spooner, Wis.; and one sister, Darlene Trude of Preston.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one son and nine brothers and sisters.
