Mabel Orte Gibbs, 93, of Metaire, La., and formerly of Clinton, died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2005.

Burial will be in Metaire today. The L.A. Muhleisen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born to Peter Orte and Anna Ipsen.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice Mitchell and Kathy Guidry; one son, Gary Gibbs; three grandchildren; one sister, Alice Nelson of Clinton; and one brother, Kenneth Orte of Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandchild, five sisters and three brothers.
