Clinton- Leon D McKinney, 59, 1810 Pershing Blvd. died Sunday morning at Mercy Hospital.
The funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday in Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Peter K Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Schmitz Funeral Home.
He was born July 24 ,1918 in Manassa, Colo. to P.R. and Barbara DePriest McKinney. He married Magdalene Vovos Sept 29, 1945, in Clinton . He was employed by Central Steel Company for 37 years as an inspector. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the Loyal Order of Moose No. 363 and the Clinton Bowling Association.
Survivors include his window; two daughters Mrs Don(Susan) Buckman,Camanche, and Mrs Karen Durgin, Miami,Fla; two grandchildren; his parent; three brothers Leonard, Alamosa,Colo., Ranford ,Calf. and Raymond, Fla; five sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Bea) Shea,, Mrs. Carter (Maureen) Ross, Mrs. Fred (Gery) Slowe, and Miss Dorothy Mckinney , all of Alamosa, Colo.amd Mrs. Jack (Edna) LaBranch, Oregon.source: Clinton, Herald; Clinton Iowa
