DeWitt- Mrs Marjorie L Witt ,63, 1307 5th ave., DeWitt , died Saturday, Aug. 6, 1977, at University Hospitals, Iowa City.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church ,DeWitt. The Rev Walter S. Wendt of Davenport will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m Tuesday at the McGinnis Funeral Home, DeWitt.
She was born Nov 22, 1913 in Preston to Albert and Dora Ringen James. She married William Burken, Oct. 27, 1938, in Clinton. He died in 1974. She married Fred Witt, June 26, 1975, in Lowden. Mrs. Witt, a DeWitt resident 34 years was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors include her husband , five son John, Bernard, Leonard, and Mark Burken all of DeWitt and LaVerne Burken , Bloomington,Ill. ; 13 grandchildren and a brother Lester James , Delmar.
