EL SEGUNDO, Calif., — Ruth L. Althouse, 91, of El Segundo, died Sunday Oct. 23, 2005, at her home.

The Neptune Society is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born Jan. 23, 1914, to Minnie and Earl Fahr. She married Kenneth “Red” Althouse.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Judy (Armand “Mac”) McManus; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Jane (Kenneth) Shaw of Fulton, Ill.; and one niece and nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and one sister.
