Nancy S. Shaw, 63, of Camanche, Iowa, died Monday, July 18, 2005, at her home.
Memorial graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2005, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Camanche, with Robert Rohr, her brother-in-law, officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory, Camanche. Following the visitation the body will be cremated.
Nancy Sue Jensen was born February 9, 1942, in Maquoketa, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Beulah (Edleman) Jensen, and stepfather, Harry Schmidt. She married Ernest R. "Ernie" Shaw on June 16, 1967, in Delmar, Iowa. He later died on November 13, 2004.
She was a 1959 graduate of Delmar High School.
She was a hairdresser for over 25 years and owned and operated the Beauty Bar in Clinton for many years.
She enjoyed ceramics, arts and crafts, and everyone who met Nancy became a life-long friend.
She is survived by two daughters, Shauna Burgmeier, and her husband, Paul, of La Crosse, Wisconsin, and Stefanie Shaw, of Chicago, Illinois; three granddaughters, Alicia, Nicole, and Maggie Burgmeier; two sisters, Sherrill Whitmore, and her husband, Richard, of Thomson, Illinois, and Phyllis Friedrich, of Haverhill, Massachusetts; one brother-in-law, Robert Rohr, of Ashton, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Honey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, her husband, and three sisters, Mary Ann Jensen, Florence Hall, and Janice Rohr.
The family requests that memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
