Betty Bergmann, 78, of Clinton, died Sunday at Genesis Medical Center.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ascension Lutheran Church, Goose Lake, with the Rev. Caroline Engelbrecht officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Lemke Funeral Home, South Chapel, 2600 Lincoln Way.

Pallbearers will be Jeff and Eric Koberg, Adam, Tony, Jason and Josh Bergmann and other grandchildren.

She was born Feb. 21, 1927, to Nick and Emelia Petersen Dockwell in Dike. She married Orlyn Bergmann on Dec. 26, 1947.

She attended high school in Cedar Falls.

She was employed with the Nielsen Clearing House in Clinton for 13 years.

She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and the Eve Circle.

Survivors include her husband; six children, Mrs. Debbie (James) Krambeck of Davenport, Jon (Cathy) Bergmann of Clinton, Susan Williams of Moline, Ill., Craig (Kim) Bergmann of Charlotte, Mrs. Lori (Steve) Uelner of Milwaukee and David (Deb) Bergmann of Eldridge; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the church or Genesis Hospice volunteers for prayer shawls.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six half sisters.
