James D. Marshall, 62, of Clinton, died Friday at his home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Pape Funeral Home, Clinton, with the Rev. Dan Schadt officiating. Visitation will be today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, cremation rites will be accorded.

Pallbearers will be past and present members of the Clinton Police Department.

He was born on Nov. 8, 1942, in San Diego to James A. and Anna King Marshall. He married Linda Stilwell in 1960 in Clinton. He later married Sandy Missman in 1984 in Clinton.

He attended Clinton High School.

He served with the Clinton Police Department for many years. He then owned and operated Quality Photo until 2000 and was a private investigator with the state of Iowa.

He was past commodore of Clinton Riverboat Days, member of the Clinton Jaycees, Eagles Club, Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and was active with Clinton Junior Football.

Survivors include one son, Jim (Karen) Marshall of Clinton; two daughters, Mrs. Shari (Eric) Peters of Clinton and Mrs. Deena (Mark) McAndrew of Lisbon; three stepchildren, Mrs. Shari (Chris) Miller of Chicago, Mrs. Nicci (David) Dolth of Clinton and Greg Missman of Bullhead City, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; five siblings, Mrs. Marina (Craig) Feldmann, Neil Marshall, Mrs. Shannon (Frank) Agnone and Chris (Cindy) Marshall, all of California, and Jeanne Dewll of Clinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather and one stepbrother.
