Victor J. Pinter, 89, of Grand Mound, died Sunday at Wheatland Manor.

Visitation will be at the Schultz Funeral Home, Grand Mound, from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a parish vigil service at 8 p.m. The funeral liturgy will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Ss. Philip and James Catholic Church, Grand Mound. The Rev. H. Robert Harness will be officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Grand Mound.

Grandchildren and great-grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

He was born July 20, 1916, in Grand Mound to John and Clara Wieck Pinter. He married Agnes Kaczinski on Aug. 24, 1937, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Clinton.

He farmed north of Grand Mound and worked with the Eclipse Lumber Co. He owned and operated Vic's Standard Oil Gas Station and Garage, Grand Mound, for 23 years until retirement.

He was a member of Ss. Philip and James Catholic Church, Grand Mound, and was a longtime member of the Grand Mound Fire Department and Loyal of Order of the Moose.

Survivors include his wife; children, Larry (Karen) Pinter of Delmar, Donna Pinter of Camanche and Gary (Janet) Pinter of Phoenix; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
