Ruth Marie Rogers, 88, of Lombard, Ill., and formerly of Chadwick, Ill., died Sunday at Katherine Shaw Bethea Hospital, Dixon, Ill.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Evangelical Free Church, Chadwick, with the Rev. Josh Jensen officiating. Burial will be in the Chadwick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Chadwick.

She was born Jan. 11, 1917, in Lanark, Ill., to Clarence and Iva Grove. She married Verel Rogers on Oct. 3, 1936, in Lanark. He died in 2003.

She attended the public school in Lanark.

She helped her husband manage their fuel-oil business.

She was a member of The Grange for many years. She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church, Chadwick's Women's Club, American Legion Auxiliary, Chadwick; Shepard's Shrine Order of the White Shrine and Zenobia Temple Daughters of the Nile, Berwyn, Ill.

Survivors include her children, Rogene Rogers of Lombard, Ill., Roger (Connie) Rogers of Largo, Fla., Richard (Helen) Rogers of Lanark and Rita Anderson of Mount Carroll, Ill.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
