Irene L. Brady, 89, of Center Junction, died Sunday at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids.

Private graveside services and burial will be Thursday at the Scotch Grove Cemetery. There will be a public visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lahey Funeral Home, Wyoming.

She was born March 14, 1916, in Dysart to William Ray and Jessie Carpenter Rodman. She married Arlo Brady on Feb. 14, 1941, in Marion.

She farmed with her husband in Center Junction for many years.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Center Junction, where she was active in church groups, choir and taught Sunday school.

She also was a member of the Jones County Farm Bureau and was a 4-H leader for the Scotch Grove Sunshine Girls.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Julianne McMann of Martelle and Cindy (Jody) Ruley of Onslow; one son, Ransom Brady of Center Junction; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Crabtree of Sun City, Ariz.; and one brother, Burton (Mary) Rodman of Solon.
