John L. "Jack" Davison, 67, of Maquoketa, died Monday at his home.

There will be a private family service Wednesday at the Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa. The Rev. Ruth Ann Scott will be officiating. A private family visitation also will be held Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in the Sutton Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.

He was born Oct. 29, 1937, in Maquoketa to Kenneth D. and Thelma L. Beagle Davison. He married Marilyn M. Rockwell on Feb. 3, 1957, in Maquoketa.

He was a 1955 graduate of Maquoketa High School.

He was a master tool and die maker. He worked with Clinton Engines in Maquoketa for more than 20 years and recently worked with Premier Tooling Inc., Peosta.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Becky (Harlan) Doty Jr. of Dubuque; two grandchildren; and three brothers, Kenneth Davison of Maquoketa, William "Bill" (Jackie) Davison of Maquoketa and Richard "Dick" (Karen) Davison of Maquoketa.
