Gladys E. Bagley, 92, died on Friday, January 7, 2005, at Bickford Cottage in Clinton, Iowa.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p. m. Monday at Low Moor United Methodist Church with Pastor Christine Minor-Heilig officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Bahnsen, Dick Evers, Dennis Kroymann, Charlie Sheridan, Kenny Smith, and Eymard Wanzek. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt.
She was born July 19, 1912, near Low Moor, Iowa, to Carl and Maude (Waterbury) Dannatt. Gladys was united in marriage to Elwood Bagley in 1939. He died September 26, 1978.
She was a teacher and school principal in Elvira, Low Moor and Ekstrand schools and various other rural schools.
She was a member of the Low Moor United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She served as president of Prairie Union Cemetery and as Eden Township Clerk. She was a member of the Follets Study Club and the Clinton County Retired Teachers.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Lynn Bagley, Ottawa, Illinois; four grandchildren, Scott Hulting, Lisa Lampe, Katie Bagley and Molly Bagley; and six great-grandchildren, Jill, Michael and Robert Hulting and Julia, Ellie and Kara Lampe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her daughter, Fern Hulting
Memorials may be left to a charity of the donor's choice.
