Camanche - Elsie C. Petersen, 80, of 1215 Seventh Ave. ,Camanche, died Saturday in Samaritan Horth Hospital, Clinton.

The funeral will be 1p.m. Tuesday in Clinton Chapel, Snell-Zoning Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. Michael C. Brewer officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Clinton. Interment will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 10, 1918 in Preston, to Henry and Laura Ingwersen Casper. She married Vertus H. Petersen, Aug 22, 1942 , in Clinton. He died April 26, 1971.
She was a homemaker and of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include a son , Roger D. Petersen of Clinton: two daughters. Mrs Gloria (Allen) Pray of Camanche, and Barbara Ball of Nacogdoches, Texas; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a sister Lorraine Smithson of Missouri Valley.
She was preceded in death by a grandson and a brother.
