Anetta D. Peters, 94, of Clinton, Iowa, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at the Alverno Health Care Facility. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at St. John Lutheran Church in Clinton. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-7 p.m. at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery.
Anetta was born on June 13, 1910, in rural Clinton, the daughter of Louis and Anna (Schroeder) Mielk. She married Elmer Peters on Aug. 1, 1936, in Clinton, He died in 1980.
Anetta is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Barbara (Ben "Jack") Tietjens, and Janet Peters, both of Clinton; four granddaughters; Ann Tietjens, Julie (Tim) Larsen, Ronna (Aaron) Braaten, Joleen Tietjens; two great-granddaughters, Laurel and Annika Braaten; and a brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Vernetta Peters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, several brother and sister-in-laws; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church.
