Shelby L. Webb, 89, of Grand Mound, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at Crestridge Care Center, Maquoketa. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services, Muscatine. Interment with Military Rites will be held in Island Cemetery. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Community Room. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Shelby’s name. Shelby Leroy Webb was born on September 16, 1932 in McLouth, Kansas, the son of John and Ellen (Martin) Webb. Shelby proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1949-1950. On June 28, 1959, he was united in marriage to Bernita Emilee Zimmerman in Muscatine. Shelby was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Grand Mound. He enjoyed going to church and retirement dinners, watching old Westerns and collecting Roy Rogers and Lone Ranger memorabilia. Shelby also loved playing bingo and traveling on vacations.

Shelby will be deeply missed by his brother, Gary (Lois) Webb of Minnesota; sisters, Barbara Ruggles, Nancy Jelmberg, Linda (Clark) Grizzard and Vicky Webb all of Minnesota; 28 nieces and nephews; 56 great nieces and nephews and 36 great great nieces and nephews.

Shelby was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bernita; two brothers, Fred and Ron Webb and one sister, Joyce Autey.
