Obituary for Katrina K. Barten
Katrina K. Barten, 50, of Clinton, passed away, Sunday, March 20, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2022 from 2:00-5:00pm at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. There will be no burial service. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jason Clements, Greg Duncan, Trenton Duncan, Tim Terrock, Don Weber, Ron Dykstra and Shawn Bruggenwirth.

Katrina Kollen Duncan was born on November 14, 1971 in a Naval Base in Guam, USA, the daughter of Darrell and Medina (Guzman) Duncan, later moving to the main land of Folletts, Iowa. She married Lloyd Barten, Jr., on April 14, 1989, residing in Miles, Iowa for many years. She surrounded herself with the most positive and supportive friends and family that will miss her dearly.

Her main passion was raising and caring for many foster children with a few making a long lasting impression in her life. She and her husband provided this care for several years and adopted their last foster child – Taya Barten. She enjoyed baking, loved spending time with family and friends, camping, fishing, going to the beach, soaking in the sun, and going to wineries. She loved working at Tycoga Winery, working for amazing employers that are dedicated and supportive of their employees.

Katrina is survived by her husband: Lloyd Barten of Clinton, daughters: Leann of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Taya Barten (Payton Kayes) of Clinton; son: Nicholas Barten (Amber Doescher) of Morrison, Illinois; granddaughters: Zahara and Luna; her father: Darrell (Darry) Duncan of Camanche, sister: Marlena (Chris Cozzens) Duncan of Clinton, brother: Lance (Bobbie) Duncan of Clinton; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-laws, and sister-in-laws. She was preceded in death by her mother: Medina, paternal and maternal grandparents and foster children: Pablo Alveno and Olivia.
