Last rites for Mrs. George (Esther) Hoffman, 75, Wheatland, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Oct. 2) at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Wheatland. Burial is in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Hoffman died in the DeWitt hospital Sept. 29 following a long illness.

The former Esther Beckmann was born in Wheatland and lived here her entire life. She was married to Mr. Hoffmann in 1912 in Bennett. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hoffmann is survived by 2 sons, Kenneth, Wheatland and Warren, East Wenatchee, Wash.; 4 daughters, Mrs. Charles (Verna Mae) Foreman, Arlington Heights, Ill.; Mrs. Richard (Marilyn) Edsall, Marshalltown; Mrs. Victor (Jeanette) Lichtenstein and Carole Beckmann, both of Wheatland; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
